- 3 lbs lean prime ribs of beef
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1 Asian pear (peeled and grated) or 4 tbls lemon juice
- 1/2 cup rice wine
- 5 cloves garlic (crushed and finely chopped)
- 3 green onions
- 1/2 cup corn syrup (or 3 tbls sugar)
- 1 tbls sugar
- 2 tbls sesame oil
- 2 tbls toasted sesame seeds
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tbls ground pepper

INSTRUCTIONS
- Soak the ribs in ice cold water for an hour. Then drain and pat dry.
- Make crisscross slashes across each strip toward the bone and place one layer of ribs in a shallow baking pan.
- Combine marinade ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
- Spoon marinade over ribs and massage into ribs with fingers.
- Wrap the pan with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for a few hours to overnight.
- Preheat gas grill or start coals 30 minutes before grilling. Brush grill with vegetable oil.
- With rack 4 inches from heat, cook ribs for 6-8 minutes on each side or to desired doneness.
